American Software Company is seeking for a JAVA WEB Developer/Senior Developer to work in Moscow office closely with Project Manager on custom software development projects, re-engineering legacy systems, e-commerce and/or web design and development.

Main Responsibilities :
+ Implement complete development tasks, including reference designs and code support documentation
+ Break the project tasks in time-boxed deliverables
+ Use Control Version System on daily basis.
+ Act as the main point of communication between members of the development team and management:
+ Analyze and assess task requirements
+ Communicate to Project Manager on daily basis to monitor task development progress including intermediate results and control time spent
+ Ensure that a technology solution meets the task description needs
+ Give quick response to test results. Implement minor changes in the scope of current task
+ Implement quick/smoke functional testing
+ Understand and implement project requirements concerned to performance characteristics
+ Participate in project task analysis and technical solution researches

Requirements :
+ Demonstrated expertise in development of software using JAVA/J2EE. In-depth knowledge and experience both with Servlet and EJB development
+ Servlets, XML, server-side programming using JSP
+ Enterprise Java Beans programming is desired.
+ Very good knowledge and practice experience with standard SQL. Knowledge of MS Transact-SQL or DB2 SQL is desired
+ Excellent communication and teamwork skills
+ English – intermediate level (both written and oral)
+ 5+ years of successful experience in positions of increasing responsibility in the Information Technology development
+ College/University degree in Systems Software Design and Development or related field
+ Knowledge in object-oriented design (UML)
+ Understanding of enterprise applications, such as CRM and ERP
+ Knowledge of Windows 9x/NT and Unix operating systems
+ Efficiency, competence, ability to learn new technologies quickly

Desired Skills :
+ Knowledge and experience with STRUTS (Model-2) is a BIG bonus
+ Application servers, such as Weblogic, Oracle IAS, etc, and/or Apache server.
+ Knowledge of DB2, MS SQL and/or other database management systems; database design and development
+ Other programming languages such as VB.NET, C#, C++

Compensation: $1000-1600.
