Process Improvement Engineer (Domodedovo T2)

Your position
As Process Improvement Engineer you will be responsible for continuously improving the performance of the material handling systems in use by the customer. Together with the customer and your colleagues you will analyse the processes and the performance of the baggage handling system. From there you’ll create proposals for improvement, in both system and operational terms. It is important that you can present and report your ideas to the customer in a convincing way. You’ll have to find the right balance between focusing on the process itself and on the supporting technology to achieve the highest efficiency and performance of the customer operations.

You will participate in the project by working closely with the Project team. Then, during the ramp-up period of the new system you’ll support the customer in optimising the new working methods and embedding them in the customer’s organisation. After the ramp-up, you’ll support and advise the customer throughout the whole system lifecycle.

As Process Improvement Engineer you’re able to act at operational, tactical and strategic level, and you know how to present the benefits of a specific solution in a convincing and constructive way. You have strong analytical abilities, together with an entrepreneurial approach in which you’re not afraid to take the initiative and make decisions. You also have good communication skills and can think creatively and in conceptual terms. You’ll need those skills, because you’ll have a lot of contact with the customer requiring analysis of what the customer wants and what added value you can offer.

Your profile
• University degree, preferably in Logistics, Engineering or IT.
• Knowledge and/or experience with automation and material handling systems is an asset
• At least 4-5 years relevant working experience, preferably in a logistics/ technical working environment.
• Experience with performing (data) analysis and working with databases and spreadsheets.
• Familiar with terms like Lean Six Sigma, Data Mining and Continuous Improvement.
• Able to work well in a team as well as independently
• Good command of Russian and English is a must.
• Preferably experience with working for an international company.
• Affinity with IT is an advantage.
